新村是罗阳街道下辖的行政村（博雅地名网作“新村村”）。1958年国家建设新丰江水库，全村从河源县回龙一带的库区迁到这里，因此改称新村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

迁来前的1957年，村子是河源县回龙一带的古岭大队；1958年迁来后编入附城公社东风大队；1975年7月另设新村大队，1983年设新村乡，1986年1月改为管理区，1999年设村民委员会。[1]
