地名由来[edit]
原村前山口有一道大瀑布，人称“马尿礤”，村民住在瀑布上方的盆地，故叫礤头村。因“礤”与“寨”在方言中读音相同，后改称寨头村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期隶博罗县典史署，民国时期编入一、二区十保。建国后归附城乡，人民公社化时为附城公社的寨头大队；1983年11月设寨头乡，1986年1月改为寨头管理区，1999年设村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，寨头村列入广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
