梅花村是罗阳街道下辖的行政村。据历代相传，北宋诗人苏轼从惠州往罗浮山游览，途经此村，见周边梅花盛开，兴致所至为村命名，并吟出“罗浮山下梅花村”之句，至今近千年。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代属博罗县典史署管辖；民国时期编入一、二区十二保。新中国成立后先隶一区附城乡，人民公社化时为附城公社的梅花大队。1983年11月，罗阳区设梅花乡；1986年1月改为梅花管理区，归罗阳镇；1999年起设梅花村民委员会。[1]
