地名由来[edit]
民国初年，张姓、李姓从天上园村的老围迁到此地定居，因村民多姓田，故称田牌。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国后归附城乡，人民公社化时为附城公社的田牌大队；1983年11月设田牌乡，1986年1月改为田牌管理区，1999年设村民委员会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载村概况，田牌村总面积6平方公里，分9个村民小组，269户、1223人，耕地1702亩，以种养业为主，种水果有传统，建有200亩的杨桃园和柑橘园示范基地，杨桃、黄皮已注册商标。村中依托100多亩的田牌湖建有田牌湖公园，并有约3000平方米的田牌文化广场。[3]
另据百度百科词条，该村属客家民系，种茶历史超过300年，茶园600余亩；抗日战争时期是东江纵队的活动基地；2021年6月建成3D党史学习馆；村集体经济收入由2019年的7.94万元增至2021年的65万元。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2012年10月，田牌村被司法部、民政部列为「第五批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；2015年2月，中央文明委授予「第四届全国文明村镇」称号；2026年1月，列入广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
