新田村是广州市黄埔区新龙镇东南部的行政村，面积约6平方公里，据称已有580年历史，有12个经济社[1][2]。

地名由来[edit]

相传宋代何氏夫妇由增城仙村镇沙头迁来，傍着一片稻田安家，村名新田，也叫何新田[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

1952年的新田乡含新田、汤村、旺村三地；1954年建高级合作社，1958年改为生产大队，1976年归镇龙公社；1984年重设新田乡，1986年末改为村管委会[4]。此后归属数变：2004年划入增城市中新镇，2005年转到萝岗区九龙镇，2014年黄埔区接管，2019年起隶属新龙镇[4]。

经济与人口[edit]

村有耕地4000多亩、山林2000多亩、鱼塘200多亩，被称为九龙镇的生态农业示范村；村民以耕作为主，部分种蔬菜和绿化苗木。村内约3100人（所记年份不明）[2]。

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
  • 2026年1月，获评「2025年广州市充分就业社区（村）」[1]。
