地名由来[edit]
村子四面环山，相传风水先生称此地为「旺福」之地，故名福山[3]。
历史沿革[edit]
1952年福山乡建立，福洞、大涵同在其内；1956年组高级农业合作社，1958年福山单独编为大队；1984年三个大队合为福洞乡，后改称福山乡，乡府在福洞下坊；1986年末分开，各自设管委会，1989年起称福山村民委员会[4]。此后归属数变：2004年划入增城市中新镇，2005年转到萝岗区九龙镇，2014年黄埔区接管，2019年起隶属新龙镇[4]。
人口与习俗[edit]
村有户籍人口1046人（所记年份不明），6个自然村是门围、岐山、库田、坪山、窑前、潭洞，除岐山外村民都是客家人，保留客家的传统习俗[2]。村集体2006年收入2.3万元，村民人均年收入约3300元；各自然村都有村民搬到镇龙居住，坪山自然村已整村搬迁[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2024年11月，获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」[1]。
