历史沿革[edit]
1957年有竹林乡高级社；1964年大坦、九楼、麦村合组一个大队，1977年三村分设；1984年大坦与麦村共设大坦乡；1989年起称大坦村委会[1]。此后归属数变：2004年划入增城市中新镇，2005年8月转到萝岗区九龙镇，2014年黄埔区接管，2019年起隶属新龙镇[1]。
地理与经济[edit]
村属丘陵地区，南高北低，雨水流入金坑河。耕地1395.7亩，山林地2917.7亩，分别占村域的32.68%和67.64%[2]。2006年底常住人口1400人，村内有一所小学，在校学生320人；村民以耕作为主，外出务工为辅[2]。
