大塘村位于大岭山镇西南部，东面挨着松山湖科技产业园；107国道、石大公路与厚大公路穿村而过，常虎高速也经此[1]。村辖区总面积8.2平方千米，下辖3个自然村和10个村民小组[1]。村内户籍人口3888人，外来人口约3万人[1]。

村内莲花山海拔519.8米，因三个山峰连成莲花之状而得名，山麓林木茂密，是休闲健身的好去处[2]。

村内生产经营单位共790家，企业约530家，其中规模以上的有44家，高新技术企业26家，小作坊260家[1]。行业涉及电子、五金、家具、塑胶和模具，村内有商铺704间，出租屋621栋[1]。

文化与荣誉[edit]

村里建有文化广场，占地约50亩，2013年建成[1]。2020年，村子获评「大岭山镇工作评议优秀村（社区）」与「大岭山镇城市精细化管理先进村（社区）」等荣誉；2021年获「先进基层党组织」称号[1]。
