东坑村是广东省汕头市潮阳区金灶镇辖下的行政村，位于潮阳、普宁、揭阳三地交界处。据博雅地名网转载的村情简介，全村1464户、7067人（简介未注明统计年份）。2003年金玉、灶浦两镇合并前，它属金玉镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：村东有一条溪坑，因此叫东坑。[1]

明成化年间（1465年至1487年），林氏先人从福建迁来建村；清咸丰年间（1851年至1861年），张氏先人从石壁迁来落户。[1]

2004年，四个村委会（东坑、彭厝、光溪、田心围）合为一个，驻原东坑村。[1][3]

经济[edit]

据村情简介，全村耕地1381亩，林地10700亩，辖3个自然村。当地主要出产三捻橄榄、玻璃油甘、杨梅、柿钱。村里从明末清初起就有加工柿钱的手艺，据村情简介，福建等地的生柿每年运到本村加工，成品远销海内外。[1][2]
