历史沿革[edit]
建国初期是南雄县第七区罗东乡辖下的东坑农会，后来经初级社、高级社，于1957年并乡时设东坑乡。60年代初成为百顺公社的东坑大队，1983年复称乡，1988年改管理区，1998年12月起设东坑村委会。[1]
名称由来[edit]
村子东面有一道山坑，村名由此而来。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予该村2021年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地1418亩，内含水田1011亩；山林分自营山16526亩、自留山1565亩和生态林4377亩；产业有水稻、花生、竹林和黄烟。[1]
