东坑村是汕尾市城区捷胜镇西南的行政村，三面环山，南临大海，是镇上的农业大村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放初属捷胜区的东沙乡，人民公社时期改为东坑大队；1989年改管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，全村3980人，村域7.61平方千米，距镇区6千米；耕地1860亩，有水果种植360亩、淡水养殖150亩。村里产沙量丰富，是本区建筑用沙的主要来源，但至今没有开采。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中白石庵建于南宋末年，香火旺盛；还有龙潭瀑布。[1][2]村里的烟墩山顶有小茅山烟墩，海拔约200米，东面可望捷胜所城，清康熙十年（1671年）重修。[3]
荣誉[edit]
广东省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单中，东坑村以甘薯和糯米糍荔枝上榜。[1]
