历史沿革[edit]
1958年至1983年为东坑大队，1984年3月改东坑乡政府，1986年称东坑村民委员会，1990年称管理区，1999年再定名东坑村民委员会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村分5个村民小组，约600户3120人，村域3.57平方千米，耕地55.9公顷。[1] 种植以水稻、蔬菜为主，经济作物有青梅、青榄、龙眼；博雅地名网记2009年人均收入4316元。[1]
中镇寨[edit]
中镇寨占地6000多平方米，一说建于明中期，另一说建于万历年间（1573年至1620年）。[2][3] 相传这里原住何、唐、盾三姓，三姓迁走后由桥楚公之后居方公重建寨子，取三姓的谐音改称“学堂墩”；因位于村子中央，寨名又叫“中镇”。[2]
