六修村是东岸镇下辖的行政村。1961年六修大队从礼垌分出，1963年又分为六修、东旺两个大队，1964年东旺并回六修。1983年改为六修乡，1986年改为农村管理区，1999年改称村委会。[1]
2021年12月该村获评「2021年广东省卫生村」；2019年9月被列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
