潮美村是广东省汕头市潮阳区金灶镇辖下的行政村，位于金灶镇与揭阳市交界处。据博雅地名网转载的村情简介，全村970户、4415人（简介未注明统计年份）。2003年金玉、灶浦两镇合并前，它属金玉镇。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：位于榕江潮水涨落的尽头，与揭阳市相邻，本称“潮尾村”，潮汕话里“尾”与“美”同音，写作潮美。^[1]

明洪武二十三年（1390年）建潮美村，明嘉靖年间（1521年至1566年）又建仙田村。^[1]

建村以来属潮阳县，民国期间曾划归揭阳县；2004年，三个村委会（潮美、新港、仙田）并为一个，驻地仍在原潮美村。^[1]^[2]

据村情简介，全村耕地1418亩，辖3个自然村。当地主要出产香蕉。近年的荣誉和入选情况：2023年5月获评2022年广东省卫生村。^[1]
