公社化时期，涂寮、新寮、港美、人家头等村曾并为新美乡；1988年新美乡拆分，此地改称仙阳管理区。^[1]

据村情简介，全村耕地496亩，辖1个自然村。近年的荣誉和入选情况：2021年12月获评2021年广东省卫生村。^[1]
