种植的作物主要是荔枝、龙眼、水稻、四季豆、花生、甜莳。发展思路为：以农业、养殖业为主，种植四季豆，也养猪、养鸡、养鱼，劳务输出比重较大。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1953年时叫花山乡；1958年时叫花山生产大队；1983年又叫花山乡；1987年时叫花山村委会；1989年时叫花山管理区；1999年起叫花山村委会；沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
花山村在2026年1月获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
花山村在2021年9月入选第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（产业为牛大力）。[1]
花山村在2019年10月入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
