塘头村是广州市增城区石滩镇下辖的行政村，在增滩公路旁，北距增城城区10公里，南距石滩镇中心4公里。[1]

村民的祖先从江西吉安的萧塘头村迁来，为纪念祖居，起初沿用萧塘头之名，后来简称塘头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年的高级社叫塘头农业合作高级社。公社化时塘头同郑田、仙塘并为石滩公社第一营，1961年改叫塘头大队。[1]

后来先改乡（1983年），再改村（1987年），设塘头村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）的介绍，全村8个合作社，耕地合计约4800亩（山地2800亩、水田2000亩）；户籍人口1992人，分属460户，另有外来人口120人。多数村民种田、养殖，辖区内有10家企业，村里设有篮球场、老人活动中心和一个市场。[1]

荣誉[edit]

塘头村在2017年10月获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「第一批广东省卫生村」，2023年8月获「2022年度广州市美丽乡村」，2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
