岳埔村是广州市增城区石滩镇下辖的行政村，在石滩镇的最南端，被水三面包围：增江在东，西福河在西，东江在南，对岸即东莞；增江和西福河都是在村境内汇入东江的。^[1]

旧称“鳄潭埔”：这里原是一片草埔，埔边有一潭，传说有鳄鱼出没，后取谐音简称岳埔。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明万历年间有人迁来建村，称鳄潭埔。其后编入石滩公社，称岳埔大队，1987年起设岳埔村民委员会。^[1]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）的介绍，全村辖岳埔、洲水、向西、六村、七村5个经济合作社，社员约5600人，耕地3850亩。村里流传一首民谣，说的是旧时村民摸螺挖蚬度日的生活。^[1]

2017年10月，岳埔村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。^[1]
