下围村是广州市增城区石滩镇下辖的行政村，在石滩镇东南面，南面隔东江对着东莞市石碣镇，东面是龙地村和博罗县石湾镇。^[1]

它与上塘村同出一源：唐代因村前河中多石，称石沥滘，明代分上坊、下坊，下坊后称下围。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

三江公社分出后，下围与龙地合为下龙大队，1975年两村分开，各成大队；1987年设下围村民委员会，先属三江镇，1994年归沙庄街道，2004年划入石滩镇。^[1]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）的介绍，村有700多年历史，9个合作社，598户、2070人，700多亩耕地基本出租给外地人耕种，土地、鱼塘、码头租金每年约300万元，大部分用于村民分红。^[1]

下围村在2015年3月获司法部、民政部表彰为「第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；2021年9月入选「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单（葡萄）；2023年11月入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」；2024年4月入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。^[1]
