吓岗村是广州市增城区石滩镇下辖的行政村，在石滩镇西北部，周边依次是荔城街的西瓜岭村（东）、朱村街的横塱村（西）和石湖村（南）。^[1]

吓岗早年属仙村公社，称吓岗大队；1987年设村民委员会，隶仙村镇；2004年划入石滩镇。^[1]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）的介绍，村里有191户、970人，经济以农业为主，收入偏低，据该网页说是石滩镇的贫困村；90年代中期起村民改种黄皮，种到约400亩，销路却没有打开。^[1]
