田边村是广州市增城区石滩镇下辖的行政村，紧邻石滩镇墟中心，南边是广深铁路，旁边新建了石滩第一城住宅区。^[1]

村名的说法是：村子靠近增江边，村民在这里耕种沙田，村委会又是从沙田村委会分出的，所以叫田边。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

田边与街心、沙尾原同属沙田村（1951年土改时称沙田乡），1993年田边从沙田村委会分出，成立田边村民委员会。^[1]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）的介绍，村辖田一、田二、田三3个合作社，120户、550人，多数村民务农，也有人外出打工或经商。村内主干道装有路灯，铺设了3000多米水泥路，设有农家书屋和农村党员远程教育点。^[1]

2017年10月，田边村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。^[1]
