历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，1958年公社化时属山尾乡；1962年并入南盛公社，几个农业社合起来称山尾大队。1983年改称山尾乡，1985年起设村民委员会，1989年一度叫管理区办事处，1999年起重称村民委员会，直到现在。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村民委员会自述（未注年份）：在册1170户、5645人，土地约11289亩，耕地5803亩；种甘蔗、香蕉、花生、番薯、水稻，鱼塘发包与商铺出租是特色收入，上一年农村经济总收入5550万元；产业以甘蔗、香蕉、水稻和生猪为主，并引导村民外出经商务工。[1]2019年9月，山尾村上了「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单。[1]
