沙尾村是广州市增城区石滩镇下辖的行政村，在石滩镇南面，紧挨广深铁路，临增江河。^[1]

据说村名的由来是吴姓村民在河上打鱼，在河边沙洲的尾部定居。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

沙尾原属沙田村，同田边、街心一起，1993年从沙田村委会分出，另设沙尾村民委员会。^[1]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）的介绍，户籍人口500人，另有流动人口200人，耕地500亩，鱼塘200亩，种植以蔬菜瓜果为主，产品供外销。^[1]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予沙尾村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。^[1]
