石头村是广州市增城区石滩镇下辖的行政村，位于石滩镇西南部，北三环高速公路石头出入口附近，下辖单屋、何屋、修屋、郭屋、沙龙尾（聂屋）5个自然村。^[1]

地名的来历是：明代《增城县志》记有“邑内都市，石头圩”，后来圩废成村，村以圩得名。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

人民公社时期，石头同石厦编为石滩公社第5营，1961年单独成为石头大队，1987年起设石头村民委员会。^[1]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）的介绍，全村5个合作社，486户、1839人，耕地1992亩，村里种菜为主，曾列为广州市的二级蔬菜生产基地；不少村民外出打工，或跑蔬菜运输。^[1]

2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。^[1]
