莲塘村在广州市黄埔区九佛街道西部，广汕公路穿村而过，2012年被评为广东省历史文化名村，2013年列入中国传统村落名录。[1][3][4] 村民以陈姓为主，相传先祖由珠玑巷南迁，南宋景炎年间（1276年前后）建村。[3][5]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网称，宋末重岗村陈氏迁入建村。[1] 1953年建莲塘乡（辖莲塘、燕塘、重岗），1958年称洋埔大队，1984年设莲塘乡，1987年1月成立白云区九佛镇莲塘村委会，2019年起属九佛街道。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传村旁几口鱼塘形似莲藕，一节节连在一起，故名莲塘。[1]

地理环境[edit]

规划资料称村域650.87公顷，含5个自然村，毗邻帽峰山。[2] 村落为广府「梳式」布局，背靠山、面朝古塘。[2][5]

经济[edit]

传统上以水稻、白兰花、龙眼和黄皮等为主。[1] 近年村里的老建筑被改作咖啡馆、茶室和黄埔图书馆莲塘分馆等。[6]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中心的时四陈公祠是清代建筑；另有鸿佑家塾、秀昌书舍、友恭书室和12口始建于宋代的古井。[3][6] 少儿粤剧传承基地设在村中，孩子们在祠内学戏。[6]

荣誉[edit]

2012年5月入选第三批广东省历史文化名镇名村；2013年8月列入第二批中国传统村落；2023年11月入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2025年3月获评第七届全国文明村镇。[1]
