历史沿革[edit]
村中的黄岐角村由张姓在北宋年间所建，坑尾（美）村由陈、杨两姓在明代所建；清代增城福和村的人在此开了「泗和店」，后来主村落改称泗和庄。[1] 1958年，广州市在这里创办青年农场；1960年设「泗和管理区」，1965年改称红卫管理区，1973年并入九佛农场，成为第六作业区。[1] 1981年归九佛公社石岗乡，1987年设红卫村委会，属白云区九佛镇；其后随九佛片归钟落潭镇、萝岗区九龙镇，2019年起属九佛街道。[1]

村域面积约5平方千米。[1] 广州地铁14号线设有红卫站。[2]
