凤尾村在广州市黄埔区九佛街道西北部，东面是红卫村，南面是蟹庄、枫下两村，西北面毗邻白云区钟落潭镇，面积7.8平方千米，由10个经济合作社组成。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初，这里属禺北凤凰乡；1953年至1957年间，这里是凤尾乡的驻地，管辖周边8条自然村；[1] 1957年改设凤尾大队，1963年蟹庄并入，1985年蟹庄的3个生产队又分出另立大队，凤尾保留10个生产队。[1] 1987年成立白云区九佛镇凤尾村委会，2019年起属九佛街道。[1]

地名由来[edit]

九佛片的主要水系凤凰河自东南流经本村、流向西北，传说像凤凰展翅，凤尾一段正在此处向两侧展开，村名由此而来。[1]

人口民族[edit]

经济[edit]

村民以种植水稻、番薯、花生、蔬菜、荔枝、龙眼和养鱼养猪为主，村内有九龙镇工业园及多家工厂。[1] 村于2020年3月启动旧村改造，拆旧范围82.55公顷，复建总规模81.99万平方米。[2] 2023年12月通过广州市健康社区（村）满三年复审。[2]
