历史沿革[edit]
村名来自村旁形似螃蟹的山岗，博雅地名网称南宋时已建村。[1] 1953至1957年属凤尾乡；1959年作为一个生产队属枫下大队，1961年独立成大队，1963年又并入凤尾大队，1975年再度独立，隶九佛公社。[1] 1987年成立白云区九佛镇蟹庄村委会，2019年起属九佛街道。[1]
人口民族[edit]
人口最少：443名村民有本村户籍，另有115名外来居住者，是原九龙镇人口规模最小的村居。[1][2]
经济[edit]
以农业为主，工业企业少，有一间村集体经营的电镀厂；村集体收入以山地林地承包为主。[1] 村于2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
