新村是博罗县麻陂镇下辖的行政村。1958年，河源新丰江水库的移民迁到艾埔一带安置，后来撤乡设区时，这里取名新村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年记作隶属惠阳区；1959年3月编入麻陂公社，属艾埔大队，1983年11月是艾埔乡，1986年1月成艾埔管理区。1991年12月艾埔管理区一分为四，新村为其一，另三个是洋田、洪湖和艾埔；1999年设立新村村民委员会。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

新村以三黄胡须鸡入选广东省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；同年12月又获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
