坳头垅村是博罗县麻陂镇下辖的行政村。村子始建于清代，先民从梅州五华迁来；村落前面有九垅十三坑，故名坳头垅。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地清代归苏州巡司署管，民国时划在第七区甲乡；建国后并入第三区麻陂乡。1958年成为麻陂公社的坳头大队；1983年设坳头垅乡，1986年改称管理区；1990年设立坳头垅村民委员会。[1]
