地名由来[edit]

村名源自新丰江水库建设时的移民：1958年河源新丰江古岭乡一带库区的居民迁来，建了这个新村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

移民在1958年响应国家号召迁入长宁公社，当年起至1983年11月为新村大队。1983年11月，新村与罗村、松树岗两个大队合并成罗岗乡，约两年后分开；1990年分乡设区，称长宁镇新村管理区，1999年改为新村村民委员会。[1]
