水边村是惠州市博罗县长宁镇的行政村，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
明初罗氏自鹤营吓村迁来落户，村址在沙河的西岸，所以叫水边。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
这里清代归归善县巡司署，民国时属第十一区英勇乡。1949年10月至1958年10月为第四区长宁乡的一部分，其后变为长宁人民公社的水边大队，延续到1983年11月；之后依次是水边乡、长宁镇水边管理区（1990年1月至1999年5月），1999年6月起成立水边村民委员会。[1]
水边村2019年9月入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
