古泥塘村是惠州市博罗县长宁镇的行政村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村子围绕一座古庙（后来古泥塘小学的旧址）发展，庙边的小塘里黑泥很多，起先叫乌泥塘；觉得“乌”字不好听，又与古庙相联系，改叫古泥塘。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
古泥塘清代归石湾巡司署，民国时是东博乡下的古泥塘保。新中国成立后，该地先在第五区东博乡（1949年10月至1951年6月），再到第十一区（至1958年10月）。其后它曾分属佛岭、古泥塘、新村三个大队，1983年11月起为博罗县长宁区古泥塘乡。[1]
古泥塘村2019年9月入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
