村名寄望村民长久安居，取「永安」二字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代归古博都，民国时期属第十区泮村乡，新中国成立后先属八区，1955年属水口区泮村乡。1961年为水口公社红旗大队的一部分，1978年从红旗大队分出，成立永安大队。1984年改称永安乡人民政府，1989年称永安管理区，1993年起属开平市水口镇，1999年定名永安村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
