地名与沿革[edit]
村名取自村落位于百足山岭以南。[1] 此地1949年设岭南乡公所，1958年为岭南生产大队，1984年改称岭南乡，1986年成立村民委员会，1989年称管理区，此后在1998年10月经恩平市人民政府批准，正式定名为岭南村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]
2017年10月，岭南村由广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予第一批省卫生村称号；2018年又进入省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建名单；2023年5月，所辖山塘村入选2022年广东省卫生村。[1]
