全村人都姓余，借用余氏的堂号「风采堂」，取名风采。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代归登名都，民国时期属第九区六姓乡，新中国成立后属八区，1955年属水口区六姓乡。1963年属水口公社，称风采大队。1984年改称风采乡人民政府，1989年称风采管理区；1993年随沙冈区另置，2005年起归水口镇管辖，村级组织自1999年起称风采村民委员会。[1]

水口沙冈工业园位于风采、宝锋两个村委会辖内。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，风采村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
