社区内有外资企业50多家，投资方来自日本、美国、台湾、香港等地。产品涉及电子、服装、运动器材、鞋业、塑料与五金六类，远销各地。广东现代国际展览中心与厚街国际家具材料展等展会的开办，也带动了这里的商贸。[1]

社区中心区有一个约1.64万平方米的开放式文体广场，集休闲公园、门球场、足球场与羽毛球场于一体。各村民小组也都有自己的小公园、篮球场与活动中心，文体设施的总面积约8.31万平方米。[1]
