新塘村位于大岭山镇东北部，与松山湖科技产业园相接，石大路从村中穿过[1]。村辖区面积1.8平方千米，下设6个村民小组[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明建文三年陈、叶两姓先民到此定居（该页注明为1400年，但建文三年应为1401年，两者不一致，年份存疑），明正德年间（1506年至1521年）开始称新塘[2]。清末以前的沿革不详；1953年归属大沙乡。1958年公社化后，新塘与马蹄岗、大塘朗合编为骏马营，划归寮步公社；1961年大岭山公社设立，新塘改设大队[2]。之后1983年为乡，1987年为管理区，1999年定名村民委员会[2]。

经济与荣誉[edit]

2024年，村组总资产73920万元，村级占29988万元，组级占43932万元；村组合计的总收入达6898万元，纯收入5945万元[1]。村内民营企业共116家[1]。

村子获得「东莞市特色党建示范区」「东莞市文明村」「东莞市市容环境优美村」「东莞市生态村」以及「东莞市美丽圩镇建设攻坚行动示范圩镇」等称号[1]。
