新兴是广东省汕头市潮阳区谷饶镇的一个社区，位于镇的南部。明正统年间（1436年至1449年），祖先从谷饶村迁来搭寮居住，起初叫寮仔村，后改称新兴村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载沿革，明正统年间祖先自谷饶村迁此搭寮，称“寮仔村”，后改称新兴村。[1]1949年划归谷饶辖区，此后名称几经更替，先后称大队、乡、村委会、管理区，1999年起沿用现名。[1]2019年9月，社区列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2018年度）名单。[1]

经济[edit]

该页所载，全村由12个生产队组成，474户、2476人，耕地350亩。[2]90年代以前以农耕为主；改革开放后，多数村民进厂务工，部分外出经商或在家开作坊、办工厂，发展起10多家企业，全村有生产经营场所70多处，其中企业20多家、小作坊40多家。[2]
