爱群村属广东省茂名市茂南区羊角镇，是该镇的行政村之一，位于镇域西部。[1]据博雅地名网所载村情，辖24个村民小组，在册1850户、7978人，总面积10平方千米，耕地1975亩（数据未注明年份）。[1]
2019年9月，爱群村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1953年为凰渐乡，1958年分成爱群、联合两个生产大队，1960年合并，统称爱群生产大队；此后改为爱群乡（1983年）、村民委员会（1987年）、管理区（1989年），1999年又定为村民委员会，延续至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村里借位置之利，招商引资发展废旧金属市场和物流，并开发油页岩、高岭土资源，出租闲置土地，以壮大村集体经济；村里还硬化了道路，建成村文化娱乐中心，完善了水利设施。主要作物有水稻、花生和四季豆。据村情材料，上一年全村经济总收入为2400万元。[1]
