新兴村是桥头镇的行政村之一，位于肇庆市怀集县，在桥头镇东北面，距圩镇3公里，面积17平方千米，下有23个村民小组，居民8000多人（该页未注明年份），是镇里人口最多的村。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村原属“兴宁”乡，新中国成立后取“新”字，并保留“兴”字，定名新兴。^[1]

清代属独州里内堡；民国改为卫宁乡，1932年改称兴宁乡，后分为总圣、地城、通紧、高岩、解元五个村；土改时设新兴乡，高级社时期分为新兴社和光明社，1958年起称新兴农业社和新兴大队；1983年起称新兴乡；1989年起称新兴管理区；1998年改为新兴村民委员会。^[1]

村境内有世外桃源、燕山两处景点，页面称其近于省级风景区；该页又说“中国长寿王后”的故里长寿村也在村内，村民善于编织竹器。^[1]
