历史沿革[edit]
民国时属第九保；新中国成立初期至1953年称太平乡，1955年为初级合作社，1957年为高级社，属吴川县第八区。1958年称海燕营，1959年设太平大队，1965年改称红卫大队。1983年改称博立乡；1987年为博立村委会，1989年称博立管理区，1999年改称博立村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
许氏大、小宗祠并排而建，是1944年中共吴川党组织设立的联络站旧址，祠内设有烈士许华秋、许真轩的事迹陈列室。[2]
著名人物[edit]
许爱周（1881年至1966年）生于博立村，民国时期的船运商人，后在香港发展地产。[3]
