石光村是广东省汕头市潮阳区谷饶镇的行政村，位于小北山麓，村民为张姓，由原石佛、牛踏埔两个村合并而成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，明崇祯年间（1628年至1644年），祖先创立石佛村和牛踏埔村，新中国成立后两村合并，名石光村，村名据说取自“石佛”“玉光”两个自然村名，后作雅称。[1]此后名称几经更替，先后称大队、乡、村委会、管理区，1999年起沿用现名。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
