历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，清康熙年间（1661年至1722年）陈姓颍川世家从福建迁来，起名后沟村；此后名称几经更替，先后称大队、乡、村委会、管理区，1999年起沿用现名。[1]2026年1月，后沟村获评广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
该页所载，全村1380人，旅外华侨及港澳台同胞300多人；耕地384亩，山地300亩，种水稻、橄榄、油甘。[2]原有抽纱、小五金和建筑工程队，改革开放后转向针织内衣和电子耳机，合计办起50多家企业和作坊；2009年的工农业产值为5796万元。[2]村后有厦深铁路经过。[2]
