新厝村是广东省汕头市潮阳区谷饶镇的行政村，位于练江平原、镇的南部，东邻新兴社区，西接溪美村，北靠华光社区，南与铜盂镇相接。[1]明永乐年间（1403年至1424年），祖先从揭阳普宁市南坡村迁来建屋定居，因此叫新厝村。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
该页写有3570人、600多户，旅居海外和港澳台的乡亲1000多人，被称为谷饶镇的主要侨乡之一；村域119.09公顷（1786.4亩），其中水域179亩，耕地1186.35亩，建设用地421.05亩。[1]洪和公路从村东北部经过，是连接谷饶镇与铜盂镇的交通枢纽。[1]
经济[edit]
改革开放前村民以务农为主，种水稻、甘薯、生柑、甘蔗、黄麻、香蕉，副业以养家畜为主。[1]
2022年1月，新厝村被广东省乡村振兴局确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2026年1月，又获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]

维基百科记载，溪美、头埔、新厝等村因数十年过量抽取地下水，出现地面塌陷。[2]
