新田社区位于深圳市宝安区福海街道西北部，东接凤凰社区，南临白石厦社区，西靠塘尾、桥头，北连稔田。地势大体平坦，局部低洼，东西约1420米，南北约835米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据社区沿革，元大德年间中期，文氏后人（名字无考）在距岭下村（今凤凰）约500米处立村开垦，称「新田村」，村名由此而来。[1][2]

民国时这一带属新安县福永乡；1951年属第四区凤凰乡；福永1977年从沙井分出设人民公社后，归福永公社。1987年1月福永镇撤乡建村，属凤凰村。1991年1月，凤凰村民委员会分为凤凰与新田两个村民委员会，新田下辖新村、稔田两个村民小组。2004年7月城市化改制，改称新田社区居民委员会；2005年4月再分设新田、稔田两个社区居民委员会，隶属福海街道。[3]

人口民族[edit]

早年资料称社区户籍仅90户230人，暂住人口则有约3.5万。2022年8月获评「第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」。[1]
