黎光村原属下堡镇，2004年起归水口镇。它在梅州市兴宁市境内，名称与沿革见下文。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

村名取「黎明前的曙光」之意，寄托生机与希望。[1]1961年与光夏分开后并入河口大队；自河口大队分出（1978年），称黎光大队，1983年10月再并回，1987年又分开，称黎光村委会；称管理区（1993年），改称黎光村委会（1999年）。下堡镇撤销（2004年11月），黎光村归水口镇管辖。[1]

荣誉[edit]

黎光村在2017年10月被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予第一批广东省卫生村称号。[1]
