大坑村隶属水口镇。它在梅州市兴宁市境内，名称与沿革见下文。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
村落四周是山，所在之处低洼如坑，故称大坑。[1]新中国成立后到1958年以前，它隶属荷树乡一类的行政单位；1958年设大队，设大坑乡（1984年），称管理区（1989年），改为大坑村委会（1999年）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2017年10月，大坑村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的第一批广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月，又进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
