共寨村原属宋声镇，2004年起归水口镇。它在梅州市兴宁市境内，名称与沿革见下文。^[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

当地原住九个姓氏，有九栋屋，叫九栋寨，新中国成立后改称共寨。^[1]1953年农业合作化时为东红社，公社化时属宋声大队（1958年），设共寨乡（1983年），改设管理区（1985年）；宋声镇撤销（2004年11月），归水口镇。^[1]

共寨村名列2019年9月公布的2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。^[1]
