洋新村隶属水口镇。它在梅州市兴宁市境内，名称与沿革见下文。^[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

它是从洋凹堡分出后新建的村寨，所以叫洋新。^[1]1952年属洋凹（坳）堡，1958年分出，定名洋新；后与盐米合并为盐新大队（1962年），两村再分（1979年），1984年又合，到1987年后分开；起为洋新管理区（1989年），改称洋新村委会（1999年）。^[1]

2026年1月，洋新村被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。^[1]
